Kevin Costner Denies Rampant Cheating Rumors Amid Surprise Divorce
On top of news breaking that Kevin Costner’s wife Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, there have been a ton of rumors floating around that infidelity on Kevin's part had something to do with the split—and he's officially shutting it down.
The actor's rep tells Page Six that allegations of cheating are “absolutely not true,” while a friend tells the outlet that “Kevin was very surprised by Christine’s actions, he obviously doesn’t want the divorce and he would take her back. It’s disappointing, he loves her and he loves his children.” As for why Christine filed, the friend says “I have no idea if Kevin even knows what the reasons are.”
A Yellowstone production source also chimed in with “No-one knew about any issues. He was not ‘sequestered’ on the set and would often go home to visit his family.”
As for the particularly !!!! rumor floating around social media that Kevin allegedly got a Yellowstone crew member pregnant, TMZ reports that they spoke to sources "close to" the star who say it's "total BS" and completely baseless.
Meanwhile, Kevin's rep confirmed news of the divorce to People earlier this week, saying, "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."
