Kevin Bacon Shares 'Amazing Experience' Riding a Jackalope

Kevin Bacon has done a lot of cool and interesting things throughout his lifetime, and he just claimed that he once rode a mythical jackalope—a mix between a jackrabbit and an antelope—in a hilarious throwback photo.

The actor posted a picture on Instagram that looks like it was taken decades ago, with Bacon smiling brightly as he sits on a big, clearly constructed, jackalope.

He wrote in the caption, "I’ve had amazing experiences in this life but I will never forget the time I got to ride a Jackalope."

Thankfully, Bacon's fans played along with him, with one proclaiming in response, "It does exist!! I knew it."

Another joked, "That’s great news. My 1st time was in Colorado and we rode/hopped all the way to Cheyenne for the Fontier Days!"

"Giddy up 😂," quipped a third.

Many loved Bacon's sense of humor, saying so in the comments, while one Australian fan referenced their own mythical creatures, writing, "😂😂we have drop bears in Australia Kevin 😂😂❤️." Drop bears are fictional carnivorous versions of koalas.

The legend of the jackalope first started in the 1930s when two taxidermists put deer antlers on jackrabbits and started selling them in Wyoming and South Dakota.

Bacon often uses his social media for lighthearted fun like this, with his fans' particularly appreciating his videos singing with his goats and family members, like wife Kyra Sedgwick and daughter Sosie Bacon. Sometimes he invites pigs and horses from their farm as well.

Whenever he's not hanging out at home or sharing fun memories, Bacon is still a very busy actor. Most recently, he starred in the TV series City on a Hill, while he has quite a few projects coming up, including the films The Toxic Avenger and Leave the World Behind.
