Kevin Bacon Gives His Farm Animals a Proper Texas 'Serenade'

Whether you know Kevin Bacon from his frontrunner role in Footloose, his appearance in Apollo 13, or any of his other dozens of roles, you'll love watching him even more as himself. The actor has recently taken to TikTok to share snippets of his life on his farm with actress and wife Kyra Sedgewick, and his viewers can't get enough.

Though the duo can bring a dose of humor to any aspect of farm life (yes, Kevin has done the famous Footloose dance in an empty barn), they're best known for serenading their farm animals on just about any occasion. From Christmas carols to songs that inspired the animals' names--he has an alpaca named Sherona--Kevin and Kyra give their all to each song they sing.

On February 26, the dynamic husband and wife treated a few of their animals to a private concert of Beyonce's brand-new country song. I can't tell whether the animals enjoyed the song, but Kevin and Kyra's fans sure did!

LOL! This video was a wild ride, and it was perfect from beginning to end. I loved how prepared Kevin was with his mandolin in the middle of his animals' pasture, and I couldn't help but laugh every time Kyra panned the camera to herself to shout 'hoo!'

Even though the miniature horse and pot-bellied pigs didn't give a standing ovation after that Opry-worthy performance, thousands of commenters have nothing but positive things to say.

"Kevin Bacon singing Beyoncé to farm animals is all I need in life to be happy," admitted @lvyphd1979. I know exactly what you mean! This was such an unexpected thing to scroll past on TikTok, but it absolutely made my day. This is a side of celebrities that fans don't often get to see (which is fair--everyone is entitled to privacy) though TikTok is helping to change that more than ever.

If you're only a casual Kevin Bacon fan like I am, you may not have known that he and Kyra have a farm in Connecticut. So when he sang Beyonce's lyrics 'this ain't Texas,' he really wasn't lying! His outfit could've had me fooled, even though I know there are farms in all 50 states.

Naturally, developing a farm and adopting animals with Kyra has changed the way the actor looks at what he eats. Ironically, Kevin Bacon has stopped eating Bacon! As he explained in an interview with People, having goats and pigs on his farm inspired him to cut out pork and goat products.

There are also three alpacas and three mini horses on his farm, but they haven't affected the way he eats. They sure have influenced the videos he and Kyra make, though--and no one is complaining!
