Kentucky’s voter fraud hotline took hundreds of calls about 2022 midterm. What we know

On guard for issues at the polls on Election Day, the Kentucky Secretary of State’s election law violations hotline fielded more than 300 calls as of Tuesday evening.

The state office offers the service to all Kentucky voters at 800-328-8683, and reports the complaints periodically during Election Day. It is staffed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Election Day and regular business hours other days.

The complaints are reported using broad categories and do not include specific details of the allegations.

Jefferson County led with the most complaints, as of the 8 p.m. Nov. 8 report, at 46, but numerous individuals had contacted the hotline with Fayette County complaints, as well.

As of Tuesday night, 17 election complaints had been filed around Lexington, including two before Election Day.
