Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes Celebrate 1st Anniversary With PDA Footage From the Night They Met
Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes' romance has reached a milestone!
On Sunday, the country music songstress and the Outer Banks actor celebrated their 1-year anniversary -- and the memories are picture perfect.
"a whole trip around the sun with my bestie. @hichasestokes thanks for making me write love songs. 🤍," Ballerini wrote next to a photo dump of their relationship moments.
The "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat" singer's post began with a selfie taken while she sits on Stokes' lap, and includes a video of him dancing behind the sound boards at one of her shows, a clip of him reacting after she leaves a questionable mark on his neck, and one of him snoring in the background.
The sweet post also includes pictures of the pair sharing a moment while Ballerini is onstage, a kiss while out at a bar and a sweet photo of them as they take in the view of a sunset.
Ballerini, 30, also took to her Instagram Story to share more pics of her and her man.
Stokes took to his respective Instagram to share a sweet tribute to his love.
"One year of lovin you ❤️," he wrote. "p.s. told ya I wouldn’t embarrass you 🥰."
The 31-year-old's post led with a picture of him smiling as Ballerini plants a kiss on him, and is followed by photos of them cuddling close together, and a solo shot of Ballerini taken by Stokes.
Making the moment extra special, Stokes included a video of him and Ballerini singing her hit, "Heartfirst," as he drives and she sits in the passenger seat.
Ballerini revealed on her Instagram Story that the moment was taken on the night that they met.
The couple's love story began after Ballerini DM'd the Outer Banks star at 1 a.m. during a drunk girls night out in Nashville, months after her divorce from Morgan Evans.
In November, the "Peter Pan" songstress opened up about her and Stokes' love story -- and matching tattoos -- and revealed exactly how their first meeting went down.
"I walked out to his car, and he got out of his Bronco ... hot!" she told Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast. "And he did not say a word to me and he grabbed my face and kissed me and he said, 'Thank God you're real.' It was so redeeming for my experience of men in relationships and how sweet it is."
In September, Ballerini let ET in on a little secret to their romance as she revealed that she met her beau prior to their official first date.
"Before we were supposed to go on our first date, we [actually] met the night before, so the edge was off a little bit," Ballerini recalled in an interview with ET at the MTV Video Music Awards in September. "But I was still nervous [on the date]. It was our first sitting across the table at dinner [date], you know?"
Over the past year, Ballerini and Stokes have put their love on display on social media, on red carpets and more recently with matching holiday sweaters.
In November, ET spoke to Stokes, who shared how love is making him feel.
"I'm just, I'm happy as a bean," he gushed.
