Kelly Ripa and Daughter Lola Pose Together in New ‘Dog Days of Summer’ Post

Kelly Ripa, 52, and her daughter, Lola Consuelos, 22, are taking the dog days of summer quite literally in their new Instagram post.

In honor of International Dog Day, Ripa posted a selfie with her only daughter, where the two are seen leaning their heads together and mirroring each other's poses, while Lola holds one of the family Shih Tzus—Lena.

In her caption, Ripa wrote, “Enjoying #NationalDogDay with Lola and Lena in the dog days of summer.” As a cheeky addition to her caption, the Live with Kelly and Mark co-host also credited the family's other Shih Tzu, Chewie, as the photographer.

Fellow celebs showed their love for the pic in the comments, like sports broadcaster Megan Olivi, who wrote, “Three of the best.”

As noted by one of the commenters, Chewie may have been absent from the snap because she's much older than Lena, so it might be harder for her to handle the heat. (Ripa did say back in 2020 that Chewie was 91 years old in human years.)

While we often get glimpses of Ripa's pups on Instagram, we've also been seeing a lot of her daughter, Lola, lately.

Since graduating from NYU, Lola has been living at home with her parents, which we've heard many stories about on Live. During that time, Lola has also been actively pursuing a music career, and her latest single, “Diving Timing,” has soundtracked a number of her mom's most recent posts. Back in 2022, the 22-year-old released her first single, called “Paranoia Silverlining.”

Just this past June, Lola also celebrated her birthday, which Ripa commemorated with a video compilation on Instagram.

The dog days of summer are always better spent with actual dogs, right?
