Keep America Beautiful project comes to Clovis

Apr. 23—The city of Clovis is participating in the Keep America Beautiful initiative, with trash cleanup scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

City officials in a news release asked area residents register to participate at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Parks & Recreation Department, 500 Sycamore St.

Those registered will receive cleanup supplies and an assigned route, the release stated.

Donuts and refreshments will be provided and a lunch and awards ceremony is scheduled at noon Saturday.

In addition, city dumping fees will be waived at the city landfill from noon Friday until noon Monday.
