DONE DEAL? SEASON CROWN WON? CHIEFS’ MAHOMES WINS WEEK 15 HONORS TO GROW SEASON LEAD; TUA HOLDS STEADY IN UPDATED MIAMI HERALD NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes wins the Week 15 title with a 58.80-point game to grow his season lead over Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow in the Miami Herald’s updated NFL quarterback rankings. Burrow passed the Chargers’ Justin Herbert to take second place. Mahomes’ 51-point lead with three games to play will be tough for anyone to catch barring something unforeseen. Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa holds steady in 11th place. Our ratings system is cumulative not percentile-based, rewarding players who are consistently productive and avoid injury or benching. QBs on a bye took a temporary hit that evened out over the course of the season -- the playing field now level with byes over. This is the 25th year for the Herald’s Passer Success System (PASS) rankings, which began in 1998, the year before Dan Marino retired, with Steve Young the inaugural season champion. Our rankings factor accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. They are passer ratings per se and do not include a QB’s running statistics. Our updated Top 25 (plus other Dolphins) for 2022 entering Week 16:
