KC Current is in first place. Here are your last chances to see them at home before playoffs

What a difference a year makes.

The KC Current is now in first place in the National Women’s Soccer League after finishing dead last in 2021. The team is currently on a 13-game unbeaten streak, the second longest streak in NWSL history, after defeating Gotham FC 1-0 on Sunday.

The regular season is nearing its end, with only four games left and only two of them at home at Children’s Mercy Park. The Current will be fighting to hold on to the top spot and earn a bye in the first round of playoffs.

If you’ve been wanting to catch a game, time is running out. Here’s what to know.

HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

The Current’s last two home games are coming up:

Ticket prices range from $15 to $121, depending on where the seats are.

Premium suites for KC Current games are no longer available, but you still can submit applications for premium terrace tables and executive suites that can host between 15-30 guests. It includes access to in-seat food and drink service.

WHERE DO I PARK?

There is no free parking at Children’s Mercy Park or the surrounding area, so a parking pass is needed. You can get a parking pass online for the last two KC Current home games here.

You’ll park in the lot you bought a pass for. It could be one of the following options:

  • Nebraska Furniture Mart Lot: available for premium ticket holders and single-match purchases.

  • Red Lot: available for season ticket members and single games.

  • Blue 1 Lot: a complimentary option for Shield Club and Terrace Tables buyers. It’s also available for season ticket members to buy.

  • Blue 2 Lot: complimentary for all fans.

The parking lot outside of Children’s Mercy Park opens three hours before kickoff and closes two hours after the game ends. That’s plenty of time to tailgate if you’re into that.

WHAT CAN’T I BRING INTO CHILDREN’S MERCY PARK?

You can only bring in clear bags that are smaller than 12 in. by 12 in. by 6 in., diaper bags or small clutches measuring 4.5 in. by 6.5 in. All bags will be searched.

These items aren’t allowed inside the stadium:

  • Any bags larger than 12 in. by 12 in. by 6 in.

  • Animals, but registered service pets are allowed

  • Aerosol cans or pressurized containers

  • Backpacks, including purse backpacks and clear backpacks

  • Drones

  • Fireworks of any kind

  • Illegal drugs and substances

  • Inflated soccer balls

  • Laptops

  • Laser pointers

  • Noise making devices such as horns, bells, thundersticks, vuvuzelas and whistles

  • Outside food or beverages

  • Pamphlets, handouts or advertisements not approved by Children’s Mercy Park management

  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses and associated equipment

  • Recreational vehicles like bicycles, skateboards and hoverboards

  • Selfie-sticks

  • Umbrellas

  • Video cameras

  • Weapons, like knives or guns

Children’s Mercy Park staff can also deem any item dangerous and not allow it inside the stadium.
