Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Buy $14 Million Compound in Same Town as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are moving into the celeb-filled town of Montecito, California.

The new parents just paid $14.2 million for a compound in Montecito, Variety reports. According to the report, the 35-year-old singer and the 43-year-old actor bought the luxurious property from businessman C. Robert Kidder, the former CEO of Chrysler and also the former CEO of Duracell.

The gated compound is nearly nine acres, and features a three-story Mediterranean villa. More swanky property features include a detached four-car garage, a guesthouse with a full kitchen, bedroom suite, private office and a living and dining area, as well as a swimming pool and poolhouse with its own two bedrooms and two full baths.

The Santa Barbara-Montecito area is home to a number of A-list celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres. In June, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry purchased a nine-bedroom, 19-bathroom home in the area for $14.6 million.

Of course, Perry is no stranger to the area, as she was born in Santa Barbara.

Aside from their stunning new home, Perry and Bloom have plenty going on in their lives. They welcomed their first child together -- their daughter, Daisy -- in August. ET spoke with Perry earlier this month, and she talked about getting back to work as an American Idol judge after becoming a new mom.

"It's amazing. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and for this job, and to be able to continue to inspire other people to go after their dreams," she shared. "I mean, my life just feels very full and whole. And you know, it's hard a little bit these first couple of days away and not being able to be there."

"But Daddy's doing a great job. Daddy has stepped in," she noted of Bloom. "I've seen the Bjorn on him, I've seen him with the bottle, I've seen all the pictures. It's all good."
