Katy Perry is officially back and ready to “pop off” this summer!

The 39-year-old “Firework” singer announced her new single “Woman’s World,” which will be released on July 11 along with the music video on July 12. The new track will be the first single off her upcoming sixth studio album, which has yet to be announced.

“Woman’s World” will also be the first time Perry has released music since her fifth studio album Smile dropped back in 2020.

Ahead of the new single’s release, Perry shared a snippet of the “sexy” track on TikTok and Instagram while lip-syncing to the track’s lyrics “sexy, confident/so intelligent/she is heaven sent/so soft, so strong.” She wore a white mesh bikini and metal boots, which are also featured wearing in the artwork for the new single.

The announcement of Perry’s new single follows her last American Idol appearance on May 19. The “Teenage Dream” singer was emotional on the season finale and hugged her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as season 22’s champion Abi Carter sang Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?"

Back in February Perry officially announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that season 22 would be her last season as a judge.

“I love Idol so much," the “Bon Appetit” singer told Kimmel. “It’s connected me with the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse to my own beat.”

Perry joined Idol as a judge alongside Bryan, 47 and Richie, 74, back in 2018 when the show was revived on ABC and stayed on as a judge for seven seasons. Perry confirmed that her fellow judges were aware that her departure was coming and they “know that I have some things planned for this year.”

“They figure I’ve been in the studio for a while so they figured something is coming,” she explained. “I love the show so much but I wanna go and see the world and maybe bring new music.”

“Woman’s World” is now available to pre-save and pre-order.
