Katie Holmes Seen Last-Minute Christmas Shopping for Her New Boyfriend & Suri—& We Can Guess What’s in Those Bags

Turns out, we have more in common with Katie Holmes than we thought. Like us, the 42-year-old actress has also put off some Christmas shopping until the last minute. Messy bun and all.

Earlier this week, the Dawson’s Creek alum was spotted on the streets of NYC carrying large shopping bags from Blick art supply store, Blick Art Materials, that she often frequents. In the photos, Holmes looked casual in a blue jacket over a green shirt and loose-fitted jeans. She topped off the look with a pair of black leather loafers and a crossbody bag.

While the shopping bags weren’t clear, it was fairly easy to make out some of the items inside. In one oversized red bag, there was a picture frame complete with cardboard holders on the edges. And while we don’t know for sure, we’d make a small bet that the other bag included paints and brushes.

The supplies were likely for her 14-year-old daughter Suri Cruise who (as we've seen on social media) has an affinity for art and painting. However, it’s totally possible there was something in the bags for Holmes as well.

As we were distracted by the big red bags, we almost missed the fact that the Batman Begins star was also carrying a bag from the Italian men’s clothing store Boglioli—a little something for boyfriend Emilio Vitolo perhaps? We’re thinking maybe a cashmere sweater or scarf.

Don’t worry about the last-minute spree, Katie. We’re totally in the same boat.
