"The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood will launch a major new awareness raising campaign, highlighting the critical importance the first five years of our lives have on shaping the adults we become," Kate wrote in a letter published this weekend. "During our very early childhood, our brains develop at an amazing rate – faster than any other time of our lives. Our experiences, relationships, and surroundings at that young age, shape the rest of our lives."

"As a society, we currently spend much more of our time and energy on later life," the Princess of Wales wrote. "I am absolutely determined that this long-term campaign is going to change that."

The pre-campaign launch event, hosted by The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, took place at BAFTA in central London, and Prince William was there to support his wife—he even coordinated his tie to match her suit.

Kate dressed in head-to-toe red, and accessorized with geometric statement earrings by Chalk. The earrings retail for £75, and Kate last wore them to the unveiling of the National Windrush Monument in June 2022. Made by architect and jeweler Malaika Carr, they are inspired by the auditorium ceiling at the Royal Opera House.
