Earlier today, the Princess of Wales spent the morning at Nottingham Trent University to learn more about how they are working to support students at the start of the school year. For the outing, Kate opted for a monochrome outfit, wearing a $145 cream sweater and $175 matching knit skirt by Sèzane. (The top in that colorway is sadly no longer available, but it does come in a range of other hues including, navy, black, and green.) She tied the elegant ensemble together with a neutral-hued top-handle bag from Tusting, suede Gianvito Rossi pumps, and Simone Rocha pearl earrings.

During the visit, the Princess popped into an exhibition for new students and participated in wellbeing sessions. According to the UK’s Press Association, Kate reminisced about her days at a student and talked about how much she enjoyed trying new hobbies when she was studying at St Andrews University. The university was also famously where she met Prince William.

Kate also heard about a tool that Nottingham Trent University created to measure a student's engagement with their course and whether they require extra support. “The Princess is passionate about ensuring young people have the right tools in place to take care of their mental wellbeing, especially in relation to understanding and managing their own emotions,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. "She is also focused on encouraging young people to build key protective factors such as healthy relationships and communities around them which will help them to lay stronger foundations as they move through life.”

Meanwhile, Prince William stopped at the Blue Light Hub in Milton Keynes to hear more about the importance of supporting the mental health of emergency responders. "Supporting the mental health of this community is a cause close to the heart of the Prince of Wales, as he saw first-hand the challenges emergency responders face on a daily basis whilst serving as a pilot with RAF search and rescue and East Anglian Air Ambulance,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

Today's outing comes one day after the Prince and Princess of Wales visiting Birmingham to host a mental health forum for young people in honor of Mental Health World Day.
