Kate Middleton Appears in New Video Congratulating Olympians
Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently on a summer break with their three children during the school holidays. However, the royal couple made a brief appearance in a video shared this evening congratulating Team GB Olympians alongside famous faces including Snoop Dogg.
The Prince and Princess of Wales posted the video from their social media accounts as the Games in Paris came to a close. “Well done Team GB what an incredible journey!” Kensington Palace posted on X. “Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here's to celebrating every triumph at Paris 2024 and looking forward to more from Paralympics GB later in the summer.”
At the start of the video Kate, who was wearing a blue and white striped top, said, “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.” William, who showed off a new beard in the footage, added, “Well done on all you’ve achieved, you’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
The video featured famous faces including David Beckham and some of the UK’s past Olympians and sports presenters. It concluded with Snoop Dogg saying, “Thank you Great Britain. On behalf of big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife.”
Earlier today, King Charles sent a message congratulating Team GB and Commonwealth competitors. “My wife joins me in sending our warmest congratulations to the competitors and their support teams from Team GB and across the whole Commonwealth, for their many outstanding successes at the Olympic Games in Paris.,” he wrote.
“Your achievements, across so many disciplines, were forged from that invaluable combination of raw talent, true grit and hard toil over many years, burnished these past weeks by sportsmanship and team spirit in the finest tradition of the Games.”
Royal family members usually take a break from official duties during August. The King is currently at Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland. William and Kate are spending time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. William is expected to return to public duties when the children return to school in September. However, Kate’s timetable remains under review while she receives chemotherapy treatment.
