Marvel stars Karen Gillan and Chiwetel Ejiofor have joined the cast of Tom Hiddleston's upcoming movie The Life of Chuck, alongside The Toxic Avenger's Jacob Tremblay.

Adapted from Stephen King's short story of the same name, Gillan, Ejiofor and Tremblay are amongst the latest actors to join the movie, which is led by Loki star Hiddleston and Star Wars' Mark Hamill (via Deadline).

Written and directed by The Haunting of Hill House's Mike Flanagan, The Life of Chuck is part of King's 2020 anthology If It Bleeds and follows the story of Charles Krantz (Hiddleston) in reverse.

It begins with the character's death from a brain tumour at the age of 39, before looking backwards through his life and ending at his childhood in a house thought to be haunted.
