Kansas State Wildcats football player announces he will transfer to Arizona State

The Kansas State football team has lost another player to the NCAA transfer portal.

The latest one has already announced his new school.

Krew Jackson, a 6-foot-5 redshirt freshman linebacker from Queen Creek, Arizona, will move closer to home and continue his college football career at Arizona State.

Jackson shared the news on social media on Tuesday.

He leaves K-State after making three tackles and one interception for the Wildcats. Jackson saw action in two games in 2021 and then played in 11 games this season. His best performance came against Oklahoma State when he recorded a tackle for loss and came up with a pick as the Wildcats cruised to a 48-0 victory.

Jackson is the fourth K-State player to leave the team since the transfer period began on Monday.

He joins quarterback Jaren Lewis, safety T.J. Smith and tight end Konner Fox in the portal. All four were reserves for the Wildcats this season, and they will presumably look for more playing time with other teams.

K-State will prepare for its next game against Alabama at the Sugar Bowl without them.
