Kansas officials cancel statewide silver alert after missing man found in Oklahoma

Update: Officials said Monday morning that Jerald D. Tuchscherer was found in Osage County, Oklahoma and reunited with family.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide silver alert Sunday night for a missing 72-year-old Mapleton man.

Jerald D. Tuchscherer was last seen at his Mapleton home around 6 p.m. Sunday wearing gray sweatpants, a blue t-shirt and a black and red flannel.

He is likely driving a silver 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with a Kansas license plate 061MFZ. The pickup truck is missing its front bumper.

Tuchscherer is 6 feet tall and weighs around 220 pounds. He has blue eyes and gray hair.

Tuchscherer has a heart condition and other medical conditions that may cause confusion.

Anyone who sees him or his truck should call 911 immediately. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, they should call the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 913-795-2665.
