Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL playoffs; When, how to watch, TV, odds

In its AFC Divisional Round game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, the Chiefs would gladly accept an outcome similar to their regular season meeting.

On Nov. 13, there was scant reason to believe these teams would later meet in the postseason. The Chiefs entered the game 6-2 and were a nine-point favorite. The Jags were 3-6.

The Chiefs had one of their better offensive games in a 27-17 victory. Patrick Mahomes threw for 335 yards and four touchdowns. Isiah Pacheco rushed for 82 of the team’s 155 yards on the ground.

Chris Jones recorded 1 1/2 of the Chiefs’ five sacks of Trevor Lawrence.

On the minus side for the Chiefs: three giveaways. Mahomes threw an interception, and Pacheco and tight end Jody Fortson lost fumbles. The Chiefs were minus-three in turnover margin that day.

Jacksonville turned its season around under former Chiefs assistant Doug Pederson. The Jags played great down the stretch, winning their final five regular-season games to overtake the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South, and they scored a remarkable victory in the Wild Card round by overcoming a 27-point deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-30.

Kansas City and Jacksonville meet in the playoffs for the first time.
