The Kansas City Chiefs’ last two meetings with the San Francisco 49ers have been memorable ones.

Three years ago, the Chiefs beat the Niners in Super Bowl LIV for the franchise’s second championship.

A year earlier, they met during the regular season in Kansas City. That was Patrick Mahomes’ first home game as their starting quarterback. The Chiefs also won that one.

The Chiefs and 49ers meet again Sunday, Oct. 23, in Santa Clara., Calif., and both teams will be coming off losses. The Chiefs dropped a 24-20 decision to the Buffalo Bills at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, while the 49ers fell 28-14 at the Atlanta Falcons.
