Kansas City area restaurants with multiple health code violations: JJ’s, O’Dowd’s, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas City Health Department cited these operations for seven or more critical violations:

JJ’s Restaurant, 4810 Roanoke Parkway, had 12 critical violations during a Jan. 9 routine inspection.

Mini Bar, 3810 Broadway, had 11 critical violations during a Jan. 12 routine inspection.

El Pueblito, 810 Southwest Blvd., had 10 critical violations during a Jan. 14 routine inspection.

O’Dowd’s Gastrobar, Country Club Plaza, 4742 Pennsylvania Ave., had 10 critical violations during a Jan. 9 routine inspection.

Fish City, 11513 Blue Ridge Blvd., had nine critical violations during a Jan. 12 routine inspection.

Paleteria Nevelandia, 908 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had 10 priority violations during a Jan. 10 routine inspection.

Bamboo Penny’s, Park Place, 5270 W. 116th Place, Leawood, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 9 inspection following a complaint.

Rice Bowl, 8226 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a Jan. 11 routine inspection.

Applebee’s Grill + Bar, 3404 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a Jan. 12 routine inspection.

Fronteras Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 7779 Quivira Road, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 9 routine inspection.

Ixtapa Fine Mexican Cuisine, 7305 W. 95th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 11 routine inspection.

Magic Noodle, 8013 W. 159th St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 11 routine inspection.

McLain’s Market, 2412 Iowa St., Lawrence, had seven priority violations during a Jan. 10 routine inspection.

Wolf Creek Golf Club, 18695 S. Lackman Road, Olathe, had seven priority inspections during a Jan. 11 routine inspection.
