Kansas City area health code violations: Peachtree, Jack in the Box, China Garden, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Las Playas de Tijuana, 8401 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas, had 18 priority violations during a Nov. 4 routine inspection.

Jack in the Box, 211 S. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had 12 priority violations during a Nov. 3 routine inspection.

Amigos Grill & Cantina, 2737 S. 47th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had 11 priority violations during a Nov. 7 routine inspection.

China Garden Buffet, 5860 Antioch Road, Merriam, had 11 priority violations during a Nov. 7 inspection following a complaint.

Jalisco Restaurant, 5000 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had 10 priority violations during a Nov. 8 routine inspection.

Joy Wok Super Buffet Hibachi Sushi, 12631 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 3 first operational inspection after licensing.

Tacos 4 Life, 12180 Blue Valley Parkway, Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a Nov. 9 first operational inspection after licensing.

Johnny Cascone’s Italian Restaurant, 6863 W. 91st St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a Nov. 1 inspection following a complaint.

Pho Good, 10952 W. 74th Terrace, Shawnee, had seven priority violations during a Nov. 3 inspection following a complaint.

Supermart El Torito, 1409 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a Nov. 9 routine inspection.

Wendy’s, 8699 Bluejacket, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a Nov. 8 joint inspection.

Peachtree Cafe’teria, 2128 E. 12th St., had 13 critical violations during a Nov. 2 routine inspection. It had eight critical violations during a Nov. 9 follow-up inspectionn.

Price-Rite Market & Deli, deli, 6400 N.W. Waukomis Drive, had seven critical violations during a Nov. 3 routine inspection.

Westport Cafe Bistro and Cocktails, 419 Westport Road, had seven critical violations during a Nov. 5 routine inspection.
