Kansas City area health code violations: Dagwood’s Cafe, Thai Orchid, Sheridan’s, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Dagwood’s Cafe, 1117 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas, had 18 priority violations during a July 12 standardization inspection.

Thai Orchid Restaurant, 6504 Martway St., Mission, had 12 priority violations during a July 12 routine inspection.

Mi Ranchito Cocina & Cantina Mexicana, 14154 W. 119th St., Olathe, had 11 priority violations during a July 13 inspection following a complaint.

Paleteria Nevelandia, 908 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had 10 priority violations during a July 14 follow-up inspection.

El Salvadoreno, 9860 W. 87th St., Overland Park, had nine priority violations during a July 7 inspection following a complaint.

El Jefe Taqueria, 1264 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had eight priority violations during a July 14 routine inspection.

McKeever’s Price Chopper, 11700 W. 135th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a July 13 standardization inspection.

Milburn Country Club, main kitchen, 7501 W. 69th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a July 14 routine inspection.

Bibibop Asian Grill, Oak Park Mall, 11875 W. 95th St., Suite 22, Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a July 14 routine inspection.

J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood, 8901 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during a July 7 routine inspection.

Tavernonna Italian Kitchen, 106 W. 12th St., had nine critical violations during a July 12 routine inspection.

Up-Down Kansas City, Crossroads, 101 Southwest Blvd., had eight critical violations during a July 15 routine inspection.
