If it sells for the asking price, it will be the most expensive house sold in South Carolina, eclipsing the $20.5 million Vanderhorst Plantation on 16 acres on Kiawah Island sold in 2021. Also, six horses on the property are included in the sales price along with the kangaroo.

The house is located in Simpsonville, about 15 miles south of Greenville. It’s owned by Bob and Kelly Castellani. Bob Castellani is the founder of North American Rescue, which has a notable presence beside Interstate 85 between Greenville and Spartanburg.
The company sells a line of medical products for military, federal, state and local law enforcement and EMS “dedicated to decreasing preventable death,” according to the company website.
The sale of Circle Creek Farm is being handled by Damian Hall of Damian Hall Group, which is affiliated with Blackstream Christie’s International Real Estate.
They describe the property as “the definition of a trophy property. This is like buying a Warhol, a Picasso, a Chagall. It is a true masterpiece.”
The real estate company believes it would cost $30 million today to recreate the estate.
Castellani bought the land for about $3 million in 2010 and spent about $17 million on the English manor-style house.
The house, which is being sold with the furnishings and artwork, includes a home theater, a pub-style bar, gym, seven bathrooms, four powder rooms and a wine room.

A street lamp came from New York’s Central Park, stone planters from the Great Wall of China and reclaimed cobblestones from a Pittsburgh street. The blue slate roof came from Pennsylvania’s Chapman Quarry, which dates to the 1850s.
“One of the most unique features of the estate, the floor of the great room is on a lift, which can be lowered into a storage area, where furniture can be swapped out to configure the room for different uses or events,” the real estate company brochure states.
The chef’s kitchen has Travertine stone counter tops, a Lacanche range and a Sub-Zero refrigerator.
The den features reclaimed beams from Clifton Mill in Spartanburg. A crane was used to lift the stone mantle and beams.
The main bedroom is on the main level, with an ensuite bath and fireplace, soaking jacuzzi tub, two walk-in closets, a private gym and steam room.
The second floor is made for guests — two bedrooms with baths, two apartment suites with private entrances.
There are 5,000-square feet of furnished patios — specifically made for summer use and winter (with a fireplace.).
