Kaia Gerber Steps Out in an Oversize Suit and Adidas Sneakers
Kaia Gerber kicked off her week in the most effortlessly cool ensemble.
The model was seen leaving a studio in Los Angeles Monday afternoon in a sleek oversize black blazer and matching pants—an elevated look she toned down with some Adidas Samba sneakers. Ever the minimalist, Kaia accessorized only with a black leather handbag with gold hardware and diamond stud earrings. She opted for natural makeup and a wavy ’do.
Kaia has always been a sucker for an edited wardrobe. Last year, she collaborated with affordable retailer Zara on a more-than-30-piece capsule collection of ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories meant to be any wearer’s “wardrobe essentials.”
“I really wanted to center it around the idea of, if I just packed this, could it last me a month—like Fashion Month, for example? I just wanted it to be the best of the basics,” she said.
Her chic Monday outing comes after a weekend of mourning for the model. She and boyfriend Austin Butler were among the people who attended Lisa Marie Presley’s memorial at the Graceland mansion in Memphis on Sunday. Austin portrayed the late singer’s father, Elvis Presley, in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic of him, Elvis, and became close with the Presley family.
Both Kaia and Austin wore all-black ensembles for the somber occasion, per reports, and were seated behind the Presley family, while musicians including Alanis Morissette and Axl Rose performed tributes in honor of Elvis’s only child, who died last month.
