About TCU (17-6, 6-4 Big 12):

The Horned Frogs are just trying to tread water in the rugged Big 12 until they can return to full strength. TCU is currently playing without star guard Mike Miles and starting center Eddie Lampkin, who are both dealing injuries. When both players were in the lineup, they torched K-State 82-68 a month ago in Fort Worth and also whipped Kansas 83-60 in Allen Fieldhouse. But TCU has lost two of its past three without Miles. Neither Miles nor Lampkin saw action in TCU’s last game against Oklahoma State.

About Kansas State (18-5, 6-4 Big 12):

The Wildcats are coming off a 69-66 home loss against Texas. It was their first home loss of the season and their third straight defeat in Big 12 play. K-State will be highly motivated to get back to its winning ways against a team that defeated it earlier this season. Unlike the Horned Frogs, the Wildcats are currently at full strength with David N’Guessan in the lineup at forward.

Prediction

This feels like a great spot for the K-State basketball team.

The Wildcats are not only angry about losing to the Longhorns on Saturday, they also want revenge against TCU after the way the Horned Frogs beat them earlier this season.

Neither of those things are good for TCU, which will likely play this game without Mike Miles and Eddie Lampkin.

Without those two players in the lineup, TCU has dropped road games against Mississippi State and Oklahoma State with a home victory over West Virginia sandwiched in between.

The Horned Frogs might be the most talented team in the Big 12 when they are fully healthy, but they are an average team when you take away two of their biggest contributors.

Jerome Tang has challenged himself and his team to be at their best for this game. I think the Wildcats respond with a strong effort, a win and a cover.

K-State 77, TCU 71

Last game prediction: K- State 82, Texas 80 (Actual: Texas 69, K-State 66)

Season record: 16-6

Season record against the spread: 12-10
