Who is Josh Gad? A few facts about the 'Frozen' actor with South Florida roots

Josh Gad is an actor, singer and comedian known for voicing Olaf the snowman in Disney's animated film "Frozen." He also played Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Broadway musical"The Book of Mormon," as well as Gaston's right-hand-man LeFou in the live-action adaptation of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."

Gad, 43, grew up in South Florida as the son of a Broward County real-estate agent and an investment adviser. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. His mother, Susan Gad Schwartz, lives in Lake Worth Beach.

Gad made his film debut in the 2002 film "Mary and Joe," about the birth of Jesus to a young Jewish couple in New York City. In 2004, Gad met actress Ida Darvish after the two were cast to play a married couple in the David Ives play "All in the Timing." They married in 2008.
