Jordan Love's 65-yard touchdown pass to Dontayvion Wicks in first series of preseason game vs Browns electrifies social media

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers opened the first preseason game with a bang.

It was quick but effective work for the Packers quarterback against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Just the way he and head coach Matt LaFleur like it during the preseason — a game in which the Packers won 23-10.

On the third play of the games, Love hit Dontayvion Wicks in stride on a beautiful throw on the right side for what turned into a 65-yard touchdown.

Wicks easily broke away from his defender and jogged into the end zone.

Love left the game after the drive with a perfect passer rating of 158.3. And unlike the wild-card playoff victory against the Dallas Cowboys last season when he returned to the game late only to see his perfect rating drop, his day ended with the perfect rating.

Love's stats: 2 for 2, 63 yards, 1 touchdown.

Not too shabby for the NFL's highest paid player.

Social media loved Love's preseason performance and also praised Wicks, a second-year player, who could break out for a big season.
