Jordan Love 'locked in' this offseason and showing his 'dawg' mentality, former NFL quarterback, Heisman Trophy finalist says

Jordan Love impressed so many people with his play during his first season as the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback in 2023.

He's doing the same during the offseason. And we're not talking about his recent engaging podcast interview with Milwaukee Bucks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo, though that chat was top-level.

Love has been out in California since the end of the season and he's been in regular communication with coach Matt LaFleur the last two months.

"He is excited to get back, to get back to work," LaFleur said during the NFL league meetings last week in Florida. But as LaFleur notes, "he is putting in that work right now."

LaFleur isn't lying.

A video of Love working out with other athletes was posted on social media this week. And it got many people's attention.

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel, now an analyst for the NFL Network, was blown away by Love while working out with him.

"Dude is an absolute monster," Daniel said about the 25-year-old Love. "I've never seen anyone more locked in with training for the month of March than maybe Drew Brees."

Daniel, 37, played four seasons with Brees, the former New Orleans Saints quarterback, during his 14-year career.

Daniel used the hashtag #GoPackGo and told Packers fans what they already know.

"Yall got a DAWG."

The video shows Love and the others going through an intense workout, lifting and running, along with core and agility tests.

Daniel, a 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist and former All-American at Missouri, played for seven NFL teams in his career. He was a rookie on the Saints team in 2009 that won the Super Bowl.

Love has been part of future MVP and Super Bowl conversations this offseason after his breakout 2023.

"One of the things that's impressed me the most is his ability in tough lessons to learn from every situation, both good and bad," LaFleur said last week. "There were some lessons in that last game (the divisional playoff loss vs. the San Francisco 49ers) that I expect him to learn from and I know he'll do everything in his power to come back and be even better than he was last year."
