Johnny Wactor's Ex-Fiancée Tessa Farrell Sobs Over 'General Hospital' Actor's Death

Johnny Wactor's ex-fiancée is opening up about her grief and their past relationship in the wake of the General Hospital star's tragic sudden death.

Posting an emotional video to TikTok, actress Tessa Farrell called Wactor "a bright soul," saying he "lit up the room."

Wactor, who is best known for his role as Brando Corbin on General Hospital, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend. He was 37.

Noting she hadn't seen her former fiancé for several years after they initially met in 2013, Farrell said she helped her ex get sober.

"I'm so happy that he found sobriety after that relationship," Farrell said. "I was able to guide him to AA and he was there for the rest of his life and sober and proud."

She also directly addressed Wactor's killer, who remains at large.

"The person who did this, if you're watching, I'm sorry but you shot the wrong guy," she said. "You can get a real job. I know the job market's hard, but we're all in it together. You don't have to steal, especially take a life over it."

She concluded her video post by calling Wactor a "rising star" and addressing the unnamed female co-worker who was allegedly with Wactor at the time of his death, offering to speak with her.

Wactor was shot on Saturday in what was believed to have been a catalytic converter theft gone wrong. Wactor's brother, Grant, previously told The Daily Mailthat the actor was finishing a bartending shift when he was leaving the bar with an unidentified female co-worker. Wactor allegedly put himself between the female co-worker and the three thieves.

"Once he turned around, he saw what was happening and he put his coworker behind him," Grant stated. "That's when they shot him."

The thieves fled the scene and have not yet been apprehended. The investigation is ongoing.

ET has reached out to the LAPD, as well as the late actor's family for comment.

The LAPD continues to ask the public for help in the ongoing investigation.

In a statement to ET, General Hospital producers said that they are mourning the loss of the actor and sent their love to his family and friends.

"The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Johnny Wactor's untimely passing. He was truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time," the show's executives shared.

On Tuesday, Wactor's mother, Scarlett, and two brothers, Lance and Grant, appeared virtually on Good Morning America to address the tragic loss.

"They took a wonderful person," Scarlett said.

Meanwhile, Grant said that the family had been left with "an emptiness that doesn't get filled."
