John Stamos Addresses '80s Fling With Demi Moore in New Memoir

John Stamos and Demi Moore

John Stamos addressed a lot in his new memoir, If You Would Have Told Me—including his rumored romance with Demi Moore.

In the book, Stamos mentioned that while starring in his first onscreen role, he hit it off with his General Hospital co-star, whom he described as a "firecracker with a gravelly voice and a big laugh," and was "infinitely more sophisticated and worldly" despite only being a year apart in age.

He recalled that while reuniting with Moore at a party celebrating Jamie Lee Curtis' Oscar nomination for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once, his friend, TV producer and writer Ali Adler, approached them and bluntly asked, "Did you two ever f--k?"

"We both look at each other, wondering what the other will say," Stamos wrote. "Demi pauses to think about it. 'I don't know if we slept together. I think we fooled around though.'"

He continued, "I just smile. Then ask if she remembers back in the day when we all went to see Rick Springfield at the Universal Amphitheater."

Stamos also shared another poignant General Hospital memory in his memoir. He recalled that when he was trying to move on from his role as Blackie Parrish in 1984, the soap's executive producer Gloria Monty attempted to dissuade him by saying, "You know, if you leave, dear, you’ll never work in this town again."

Monty was proven wrong immediately, as Stamos was cast in CBS sitcom Dreams on the same year he left General Hospital.
