Joey Votto homers off Phillies' Zack Wheeler on first pitch he sees for Toronto Blue Jays

It didn't take long for longtime Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto to bang one over the fence for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Votto homered on the first pitch he saw for his hometown Jays against the Philadelphia Phillies' Zack Wheeler on Sunday at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida.

The Enquirer's Gordon Wittenmyer wrote last week that Votto said he was "champing at the bit" before Toronto signed him to a minor-league deal March 8.
