Joe Manganiello has learned not to judge a book by its cover.

While chatting with Andy Cohen for Watch What Happens Live on Monday, May 6, the Deal or No Deal Island host, 47, opened up about a gift he once received from a fan that left him wishing he read before he replied.

"Someone spent a year drawing a comic book and then gave it to me," the True Blood alum said, thinking back to a convention he’d previously attended.

"I said, 'Oh, this is amazing.' And then I saw them the next day and they said, 'Did you like my comic?' I said, 'Of course, it was amazing. You know, you put so much work into it.' I didn't read it, but I went on and on about how great it was,” Manganiello explained.

However, once he finally got around to reading the comic book gifted to him, it wasn’t at all what he expected.

"It was him as an anthropomorphic rabbit meeting an anthropomorphic wolf man and then…”

Cohen, 55, interjected, "They f-----."

Manganiello, who portrayed the often shirtless werewolf Alcide Herveaux on the HBO supernatural drama series, confirmed that Cohen was correct.

"Barebacking. Yes," the actor said before once again reflecting on how enthusiastic he came off to the fan who gifted him the graphic material.

"I was like, 'Oh, I love it. It was so great.' He was like, 'You did!?' I'm like, 'Yeah! Totally!' Didn't read it. Then... that's what I get."

In mid-March, Manganiello paid The Jennifer Hudson Show a visit.

During his appearance on the daytime talk show, he and the EGOT winner, 42, played a little game inspired by would-you-rather where the actor admitted that he would give up his career if it meant he would have to film in the freezing rain — while also citing a perfect example of a past situation.

"Let me tell you something," he began. "When I was on True Blood we didn't shoot in Louisiana — the warm Louisiana. We shot in Malibu [in] December, January for anybody who's out there it's below 20 degrees at night and now on True Blood, we were naked."

The series, which ran from 2008 until 2014, is set in Bon Temps, Louisiana.

"[We did] nothing with clothes on! So then they're like, 'Stop shivering, try to make it sexy!' Like no man, I'm freezing," he laughed. "So believe me... I wouldn't take it. I was traumatized by it all."
