Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were certainly keeping gossip-watchers guessing over the Labor Day weekend. But, sorry to report, these two stars are officially getting divorced.

According to Miami Dade County court records, Jonas filed to split from the “Game of Thrones” star on Tuesday. “Joseph Jonas” is the petitioner, meaning he initiated the split, with Turner as the respondent. His lawyer is Palm Beach-based Thomas Sasser, as per court records.

Over the weekend, news broke that the pop star and British actress were splitting; tabloids even dug up a picture of Jonas walking around NYC earlier this month sans ring.

But then, whaddya know? A few hours later, Jonas goes ahead and posts a snap of him chilling with brothers Nick and Kevin, wearing the ring on that finger, clear as day.

Didn’t get the picture? On Sunday night, another photo of JJ again wearing the band emerged on his Instagram, and commenters had a field day speculating as to the state of the duo’s four-year marriage.

“Y’all really made this man post a singular picture of himself wearing his ring because of rumors going around the Internet,” wrote one.

“He really said: Here’s the ring. Now shut up,” said another.

“Divorce rumors silenced with one photo,” summed up someone else.

But they were just, unfortunately, rumors. Because reputable publications like People magazine had already confirmed that the 34 year-old former boybander had retained a divorce lawyer.

As for Turner, don’t look to the 27 year old’s social media for future information. The notoriously private Brit last posted a lovey dovey tribute to her hubby only about three weeks ago.

But anyone in Miami who knows a thing or two about real estate wasn’t too surprised that the parents of two were on the outs.

Turner and Jonas bought a house in the Bay Point area in September 2021 for approximately $11 million. Soon after giving the six bedroom, 8.5 bathroom waterfront mansion an extreme “Cali meets Bali” makeover, they put it back on the market.

Jonas and Turner, who were often seen around town strolling at farmers’ markets, dining out and shopping with the kids, just sold it for a cool $15M.
