Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow remained in the NFL Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football at Paycor Stadium with an apparent index finger injury during the second quarter.

NBC showed a close-up of Burrow's bloody fingertip with about six minutes left in the first half.

"He's been messing with it the entire break here," NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth said.

"(Burrow) sat on the bench and they cleaned off that right index finger," sideline reporter Melissa Stark said. "He did not take any warm-up throws."

Despite the injury, Burrow threw his second touchdown pass of the game later in the second quarter, a 22-yard strike to tight end Drew Sample.

"Just a little scratch," Burrow said of the injury after the game, in an on-field interview with Stark. "That's football, baby."
