Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy's movie lands new release date
Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy's upcoming film The Bikeriders has landed a new release date.
Following a change in distributor, the movie will now roll into cinemas across the US on June 21, 2024 (via Variety). A new UK release date for The Bikeriders is yet to be confirmed.
The news comes just weeks after the movie was acquired by Focus Features, following the decision by original studio New Regency, in partnership with 20th Century Studios and Disney, to drop the movie from its release slate.

The Bikeriders was originally been set for a December release. However, the fallout from the now-resolved SAG-AFTRA actors' union strike saw its premiere pushed back indefinitely over concerns that the cast wouldn't able to properly promote the movie.
The production company had also hoped for the film to qualify for the 2024 awards season, with the new release date meaning it will now compete in 2025.
Starring Elvis' Austin Butler alongside Comer and Hardy, The Bikeriders is inspired by Danny Lyon's 1968 photobook of the same name and tells the story of the The Vandals, a Midwestern motorcycle club who evolve from a rebellious outlaw group to a sinister gang.
Comer stars as Kathy, wife of group member Benny (Butler) and the film's narrator, who recalls the group's rise and fall to journalist Danny Lyon (Mike Faist), while Hardy plays the gang's founder Johnny.

The film was directed by Jeff Nichols and also stars The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus, Bullet Train's Mike Shannon, and Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook.
Paul Sparks, Emory Cohen, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp and Karl Glusman round out the cast.
The Bikeriders premiered at Telluride Film Festival earlier this year to favourable response from critics. It currently sits on 85% on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes after 34 reviews.
The Bikeriders will premiere in US cinemas on June 21, 2024.
