Dr. Jill Biden is writing a new book about a close feline friend.

The First Lady, 72, announced that she will be publishing the children’s book, Willow the White House Cat,this summer. The book is cowritten with award-winning children’s author Alyssa Satin Capucilli and illustrated by Kate Berube, and will be published by Paula Wiseman Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.

The book follows Willow, the Biden family’s tabby cat, and her adjustment to living in the White House after she was adopted from a farm in Pennsylvania. Willow soon discovers that there is much to explore in her new home in D.C., and new people to meet at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. as well.

“As Willow bounds from room to room, exploring history in her new home, she learns quickly about all of the incredible people who make the ‘People’s House’ run,” Biden said in a statement shared with PEOPLE.

“They welcomed Willow with love and care, just as they did Joe and me, the First Families who came before us, and all of the people who step foot into this home,” she continued. “Making many new friends along the way, Willow’s journey gives the world a ‘cats-eye’ view of all the ins and outs of America’s most famous address.”
