Jewelry Experts Estimate Prince Harry Has Given Meghan Markle Around $600k in Gifts Over the Years

If love is a gift, then Prince Harry has taken that expression literally when it comes to Meghan Markle, 42.

Ahead of the Duke of Sussex’s 39th birthday, the fine jewelry company Steven Stone broke down for Crisscut Magazine just how much the royal has spent on gifts for his dearly beloved. And according to the jewelers, that number totals to about $600,000.

The $600k was calculated by the experts with estimates on Markle's most notable pieces of jewelry, as well as other reported gifts she's received from Prince Harry.

For instance, in 2019, right around the time that the couple’s eldest, Prince Archie, was born (and they celebrated their first wedding anniversary), Prince Harry gave Markle an eternity ring, which he designed in collaboration with Lorraine Schwartz. According to Steven Stone, this ring is worth around $100,000.

Then, there's Markle's engagement ring, which was made with stones from a brooch belonging to Princess Diana, and which is reckoned to have cost around $150,000, according to the gem experts. (However, some sources, like TIME, estimate that it's worth is closer to $200,000.)

In 2017, The Daily Star reported that the Duke of Sussex bought Markle a $41,000 Mini Cooper for her 36th birthday. And in their early years of dating, the royal also purchased the Suits actress a Cartier Love Bracelet ($6,650) and a gold Maya Brenner necklace ($300) with the initials for “M” and “H” on it, according to StyleCaster. And we can't forget the Van Donna painting, titled “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love,” which Prince Harry had commissioned for Markle. At the time of the prince’s purchase, a painting by the same artist sold for $5,000 at Christie’s, which means Harry’s personalized piece is probably worth at least that.

Then there’s Markle’s wedding band ($12,000), Princess Diana’s aquamarine ring ($106,000)—which some estimate Prince Harry gave to the Duchess of Sussex on their wedding day—and Princess Diana’s Cartier tennis bracelet ($200,000), which Markle was spotted wearing on Commonwealth Day in 2019, during *that* Oprah interview and other moments.

This isn't to say Markle hasn't been just as generous to Prince Harry over the years. No, the Duchess of Sussex has gifted the royal with plenty of special presents—including a recreation of their Botswana trip from when they first started dating, a bench decorated with a poem (which inspired Markle’s children’s book The Bench) and even a few gag gifts, like a Christmas tree decorated with Queen Elizabeth’s face, which she gave Prince Harry in 2020.

Seems these two know how to show their love in more ways than one.
