Jessica Simpson Models Her Sexy New Summer Line for Walmart: 'I'm More Confident After 3 Kids Than I Was at 25!'

Jessica Simpson's hugely popular brand just debuted a Walmart-exclusive line for $38 and under! Here the designer spills all the details with PEOPLE

Jessica Simpson is proud of her swimwear collection.

“I have every size bikini possible! I even wore a bikini when I was 9-months pregnant,” the mom of three, 43, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

She also knows what suit styles make her most confident. “If I am in a swimsuit, I want a tan! I always love a classic triangle bikini. I like the push up, especially after kids,” she shares, adding if she likes one style, she buys it in multiple colors to have on rotation during the summer.

And now her brand, Jessica Simpson Collection, just dropped a new summer line with even more swim must-haves and warm-weather clothing — available exclusively at Walmart.

Inspired by Simpson’s Texas roots and California coastal lifestyle, the 100-piece swimsuit, clothing and accessories collection feature the star’s signature boho-chic-meets-Western aesthetic. Simpson is proud that the line appeals to a diverse customer base, from the “grocery shopping mom” to the “bbq hosting ladies” in sizes ranging from XS-XXL.

Simpson couldn’t think of a better retailer to collaborate with than Walmart, which has every kind of summer party or vacation staple you might need.

“I am all about convenience and love the idea of one place where you can throw your kids in the cart, grab hot dogs and buns, some lemonade, sunscreen, an ice chest and a new swimsuit and denim shorts with a lip gloss to match for that BBQ you are hosting and be on your merry way," she says.

Her personal favorites from the range include the “boho vintage-inspired patchwork maxi dress that screams summer picnics and parties” and the versatile denim romper, which “every person needs in their closet.” She’s also a big fan of the patterned ruched swim skirt, which provides a nice “retro touch.”

The best part? The entire collection — which also features an assortment of jewelry, dresses, jacket and shorts — is priced at $38 and under. The accessible price tag definitely makes this drop the perfect summer steal to kick off the season.

Simpson modeled some of the pieces — that sizzling neon green bikini! — in a glamorous photo shoot.

“It wasn’t until I became a mother that I learned to celebrate what a woman’s body can do," she tells PEOPLE. "I am more confident now after three kids than I was at 25!”

Her swimsuit mantra: “wear whatever makes you feel confident!”

Every clothing, footwear or jewelry collection Simpson has put out since her first launch in 2005 has been a culmination of what inspires her.

"I get my design inspiration from everywhere, like a song I love or a piece of art. I love vintage fashion so I am always looking through archival prints and cuts. Right now,” she says. “I am very inspired by my [11-year-old] daughter Maxwell. Her pulse on fashion is so unique. She is an infectious trendsetter and always effortlessly confident.”

Even the meaning behind her butterfly logo tells a beautiful message behind her “spiritual” connection to the animal and inner healing. “They are such a beautiful symbol of transformation and helping you turn inward to honor your wisdom to have the confidence to take flight with new perspectives.”

Her youngest, Birdie, also motivates her, but in a different way. When asked about her workout routine (have you seen her killer abs?!) Simpson says it's “chasing” her little one around. “That lady can move! She is 5 and always on the go. She is definitely the boss baby (and comedian) of our family.” But, she adds, "otherwise, I like to walk and do weight training. I try to keep everything in moderation. When it comes to raising her daughters, Simpson wants them to know “they are uniquely and truly beautiful from the inside out.” She also wants to empower anyone who wears her designs to resonate with this too.

“You can find beauty in any given situation, even if it’s hard. There is always something to be learned and a way to grow. I have to remind myself of that constantly.”
