  • Jessica Chastain displayed her long and strong legs in a white minidress and black heels at a screening for The Good Nurse this week.

  • The 45-year-old actress enjoys working out with her grandma and says exercise helps to bring her self-confidence and pride.

  • Jessica listens to her body and follows a vegan diet because she feels it gives her more energy.

Jessica Chastain and her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, strutted through Midtown Manhattan in style last night, and there are glamorous celebrity sighting photos to prove it. The 45-year-old actress put her sculpted legs on full display in a white minidress that she paired with elegant black heels. The event in question? A big New York screening of her new film, The Good Nurse.

While the film had its world premiere back in September, it's now streaming in select theaters in the US before hitting Netflix on Oct. 26. Grab your popcorn, because this one looks intense. And Jessica seems to know how to show up and show out for her newest project, because she is as strong as ever at the screening event.

When the celeb isn't transforming the New York City sidewalks into her catwalks or collecting Academy Award nominations for her impressive on-screen performances, she's focusing on making her body feel its very best.

Jessica called her Torch’d workouts by Isaac Boots "a breath of sanity," especially during the height of the pandemic. She told Shape in 2021 that she'd do the workouts every morning alongside her grandma. "She really helped me be accountable," she added. Aw!

Jessica still enjoys her Torch'd sessions and will incorporate online power yoga classes into her fitness routine. “That helps clear my head,” she said.

Beyond toning her epic leg muscles, Jessica also looks to her exercise routine to strengthen her mental health. "Working out gives me confidence. It's the sense of being proud of myself,” she told Shape. “The starting point of exercise is always difficult for me—finding the time and quiet space and feeling that I've got a million other things I need to do. But once I finish, I immediately feel like a superhero.” Now, that's a relatable feeling.

Jessica also explained how the challenge of a tough workout contributes to her driven and dedicated personality. "It's also a reminder—especially when you're in a yoga position or holding a plank, and you're shaking and thinking, I can't do it!—that honestly, you can get through anything," she said.

When it comes to centering her body and mind, Jessica told Shape that she enjoys starting her week in "a quiet place, listening to what's going on with my mind. It's a sense of giving myself a moment to be clear and allowing my body to reset."

Jessica also told the WSJ Magazine that she starts every morning with a chai tea latte with soy milk and a shot of espresso. “It’s an everyday thing.”

Look at that smile!

The actress is vegan, per a 2018 W Magazine interview. However, she didn't initially intend to follow the diet. "A friend of mine had a two week vegan food delivery program she wasn’t going to use so I used it, and immediately I just had more energy than I’ve ever had in my life,” she explained. “Being vegan was not anything I ever wanted to be. I just really was listening to what my body was telling me.” So wise.

BRB, keeping my eyes peeled for Jessica on the NYC streets.
