We can always count on Jessica Chastain for a memorable red carpet moment, and she certainly delivered at the 2024 National Board of Review’s annual Awards Gala.

At the event, Chastain presented director Justine Triet with the prize for Best International Film for the courtroom drama Anatomy of a Fall. But before the Eyes of Tammy Faye star even hit the stage, she caught everyone’s eye when she arrived to the carpet in a stunning fluorescent dress from Vivienne Westwood.

The strapless iridescent gown was made with a rich purple fabric that stood out everywhere Chastain went, and the top of the dress featured a sharp, scoop neckline that jutted out ever so slightly and added a touch of three-dimensional drama to the design. While the bodice angled inward in a corset shape, the skirt was completely straight and featured a small scalloped train.

For her accessories, the Oscar winner kept it simple with a multicolored tennis necklace from Suzanne Kalan. She also kept her beauty stripped back, opting for a blush-colored lipstick and pale pink nails (which allowed the focus to remain on her dress).

This was the first red-carpet appearance of the season from Chastain, who was not present at the Golden Globes or the Governors Awards this past week. However, the California native is nominated at the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards for her role as Tammy Wynette on the musical biopic miniseries George & Tammy, so we can likely expect another glamorous look from the actor when the Emmys take place on January 15th.
