Jessica Biel Turns Off Instagram Comments Over Britney Spears Fans' Online Bashing

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

Teases for Britney Spears' memoir, The Woman in Me revealed bombshell revelations about her relationship with Justin Timberlake ahead of its Oct. 24 release date. But once the entire book became available to the public, folks wasted no time letting J.T.—and consequently, his wife Jessica Biel—know how they felt about him.

In fact, Biel was forced to turn off her Instagram comments when Spears' fans started bashing her for staying with the NSYNC band member.

The memoir details Spears' perspective of her romance with Timberlake—which lasted from 1999 to 2002—including that he allegedly cheated on her with a "very popular" celebrity and that she had an abortion because he "didn't want to be a father" yet.

Timberlake silenced his comment section the same day Spears' memoir dropped. But as a result, the "Toxic" singer's fans began targeting his wife. And let's just say the feedback isn't pretty.

In Biel's most recent Instagram post from Aug. 21, Spears' supporters didn't hold back.

One user urged her, "Girl run. You deserve better. WAY BETTER."

"How can you still be married to a man who destroyed your ex-girlfriend's psychological well-being?" another person commented. "As a woman, you should put yourself in her shoes and have a minimum of empathy. But no, it's covering up everything this monster did. But get ready, as he said himself: karma is coming."

Yet another commenter wondered, "Why do you stay with him? He like cheated on your [sic] a bunch right? I don’t get it." (This is seemingly in reference to photos that surfaced in 2019 of Timberlake holding hands with his Palmer co-star, actress Alisha Wainwright.)

Still, others sympathized with Biel, who had no direct involvement in her husband's past dating life.

One person wrote, "I feel bad for the hate you and JT are getting. It’s unnecessary. What happened was in the past & people need to move on."

Another Instagram user commented, "Omg stop attacking his wife!!! She didn't do anything leave Jessica alone."

Regardless of where folks stand in the Britney vs. Justin debate, it was probably the best move for Biel's well-being to shut down the conversation in her Instagram comments.
