Jessica Biel Debuts Bleach Blonde Hair Transformation Days After Viral Met Gala Appearance

The actress’ look is a drastic change from the dark blonde style she wore to the Met

Jessica Biel is rocking a new summer-ready hairstyle.

Just days after making her return to the Met Gala following an 11-year hiatus, the 42-year-old actress debuted bleach blonde hair while leaving her hotel in New York City on Wednesday, May 8. The star’s hair, which she partially hid under a baseball cap, appears to have been dyed several shades lighter to an icy blonde hue.

Biel kept the rest of her look low ley, wearing a black peacoat and trousers. She accessorized with a large black tote bag and oversize sunglasses.

On Monday May 6, the 7th Heaven alum appeared at the Met Gala in an elegant pink Tamara Ralph Couture gown with a plunging neckline and 3D striped coque feathers and crystals. A matching pink cape added to the drama of the look. Her sandy blonde hair was styled into tousled, effortless waves and her makeup was simple and fresh.

The most dramatic element of her evening, however, was the prep work involved. Prior to the event, Biel gave fans a peek into her getting-ready process, which included soaking in 20 pounds of epsom salt in a bath the night before.

"For real," she said in a TikTok video as she showed herself pouring the salt into the bathtub.

Two days later, she provided another behind-the-scenes look at her Met Gala prep.

“Hey, you guys,” she said while taking a bite of food in a video shared to TikTok on Wednesday, May 8. “I’m supposed to be getting dressed for the Met, but I had to eat something.”

Biel explained that she was “hiding in the corner of my room” as members of her glam squad tried to make sure she got dressed on time.

“Everybody’s like, knocking on the door, ‘You gotta get dressed!’” the star said in the clip while chowing down on a salad.

“I’m just trying to tell you, snack first, eat first!” she continued.

She also shared a POV shot of her room, showing her pink gown spread across the bed.

Biel, who attended the lavish event without her husband, Justin Timberlake, last appeared at the Met Gala in 2013 where the theme was “PUNK: Chaos to Couture.” She wore a black Giambattista Valli macramé and tulle gown with matching pants plus patent leather pumps also by the designer. She accessorized with Fred Leighton diamonds and leaned into the theme with a nose ring.

In 2012, the actress stepped out for the Met Gala with Timberlake, who was her fiancé at the time. The couple got married in Italy five months later in October 2012. Biel and Timberlake share two sons, Phineas, 3½, and Silas, 8½.

For the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations"-themed event, Biel wore a belted pale pink dress with green embroidery, while Timberlake opted for a classic black tux.
