Here are the New Jersey stores where you can score Record Store Day exclusives
If you love all things vinyl, Saturday, April 20, is your day.
The annual Record Store Day includes exclusive releases, in-store performances, special appearances and more, all in celebration of record albums and the people who love them.
The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008, and the event has grown each year, now encompassing stores from around the world.
"This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store — the staff, the customers, and the artists — to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role they play in their communities," according to RecordStoreDay.com.
A list of special releases can be found at recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases. Each store is independently operated and may carry different items, so check with your local shop if you're looking for a specific release.
