On 'Jersey Shore,' Sammi's Jets TikTok called a 'chess move' against Angelina
Are you friends with her?
The TikTok video posted by Alexis Bawden, wife of New York Jets running back Nick Bawden, that includes an appearance by Sammi “Sweatheart” Giancola surfaced on the April 25 episode of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.”
Alexis was upset that Angelina DM'd her husband when the roomies went to the Jets game at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 24, 2023. The TikTok, posted on Oct 29, seems to be revenge for Angelina's overly familiar missive to her husband.
As for Sammi's intent, well, that's a little vague at this point.
“I had this amazing opportunity to watch the game from the Jets special lounge and guess who's there?” said Sammi on Thursday's episode of meeting Alexis. “I was there all day for like four hours and she's a very nice girl, and then she said 'Want to do a TikTok?' I'm like whatever, but there was no ill intent on my end. I'm not the one who wrote the caption. I'm not the one who posted it.”
“Are you friends with her, let me know, now — are you friends with her!” said Alexis in the TikTok as the shot pans out to reveal Sammi, whom Angelina had been squabbling with.
The “Are you friends with her” line references a Season 1 fight Sammi had with ex Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
“That is a chess move,” said Pauly DelVecchio of the TikTok. “Don't (blank) with Sam is what I'm saying.”
“I will apologize but then again, what do I owe her,” Sammi said. “She's been so mean to me.”
The Angelina-Sammi beef is complicated. It seems to stem from Angelina being jealous of the attention Sammi's getting since returning to the show.
“Sam definitely poked the hamster with that TikTok, and now she's about to get the wheel,” said Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
The roomies and significant others are decamping in Tucson, Arizona. Angelina has asked her boyfriend Vinny “Vinny 2.0” Tortorella to come.
“Even though we've had our ups and downs, right now Vinny and I are, like, in a decent place,” Angelina said. “We're communicating. We're trying to communicate better.
"I'm actually happy he's like the one person who stuck around.”

A down moment, which has not been referred to on the show, was Angelina calling police to her Freehold Township home, reps for Angelina and Vinny 2.0 confirmed to the Asbury Park Press. Angelina did not press charges on Vinny 2.0 after police arrived.
Next week, Mike apparently draws the ire of Vinny 2.0 over the Jets TikTok situation.
“Say that in front of my face right here,” says Vinny 2.0 in a teaser to Mike before bedlam ensues.
