Jersey Bulls job would interest island boss Powell
Newly-appointed Jersey representative manager Elliot Powell says he would be interested in the vacant role at Jersey Bulls.
Gary Freeman stepped down as Bulls' boss on Monday after five years in the role after the islanders were beaten in the Combined Counties Premier South play-off semi-finals.
Powell, who is leaving his role as manager of Jersey club side St Peter, led Jersey to Island Games gold last summer while in temporary charge.
"It's an opportunity that I would really like to investigate if it became an option," Powell told BBC Jersey's Sport Matters podcast's upcoming Muratti special.
"But I'm sure there's tons of coaches out there that would like that opportunity."
Powell formally took over the Jersey FA side last month ahead of the annual Muratti Vase clash with Guernsey later in May.
There is precedent for a club manager also running an island representative side - Guernsey FC's Tony Vance was also in charge of the island's FA team before Ryan Zico-Black and Dave Merris took over last November.
"For me I'm just focused on this Muratti - it's hectic enough without any distractions in there," Powell added.
"The Muratti's definitely the focus for now, and if there's anything that comes up after that I've got a nice two-week break so hopefully things can wait until after then and I can switch off from football a little bit."
