Reflecting on the special invitation to the game, Carmichael joked about replacing his former best friend, stating, "I called my former best friend, I was like, 'You're out, Taylor's in. You never invited me on your jet to a game.' She’s very smart and interesting."

Swift's intimate knowledge of football surprised Carmichael, who admitted, "She knows more about football, more than I do."

During the game, Carmichael found himself in a humorous situation, admitting to playing the role of the curious companion. "Yeah, I’m the girlfriend in that situation," he joked to Kimmel, anticipating the media's response to his friendship with Swift.

As the conversation unfolded, Carmichael teased about the potential headlines, foreseeing the focus solely on Swift. "I won’t even get top billing, it will say, ‘Taylor Swift, Jerrod Carmichael's best friend,'" he quipped.

"Football is awesome, it turns out," Swift said. "I've been missing out my whole life."

Back on JKL, Carmichael took the opportunity to discuss his upcoming docuseries, Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, set to premiere March 29 on HBO. Describing it as an "intensely personal documentary," he explained his inspiration drawn from reality television, aiming to showcase the raw and unfiltered moments beyond the glamour.
