Joe Buck’s week-long stint as the guest host of Jeopardy! is officially in the books.

The veteran sports broadcaster was part of the game show’s rotating list of guest hosts in the wake of Alex Trebek’s death.

Buck made his debut on Monday evening and hosted the show through Friday. While the reaction to Buck’s hosting skills were mostly positive, there was one especially viral tweet from a longtime Jeopardy! champion.

“Jeopardy says whoever hosts full time will have to quit their other job, so I’m crossing my fingers it’s Joe Buck,” legendary champion James Holzhauer wrote.

Holzhauer, a professional sports gambler, has brought in more than $3 million in career winnings as a Jeopardy! champion.

Like many sports fans, he likes to tease Buck about his performance during NFL and MLB games. He’s certainly not the first fan to joke that Buck should “retire” from his day job.

That won’t be happening, though. Buck will be calling NFL games this fall and Jeopardy! has already decided on its next full-time host.
