'Jeopardy!' Fans Outraged After All Contestants Flub Celebrity Clue

Jeopardy

Jeopardy! is continuing to feel viewers’ wrath.

Those watching at home have taken to social media in recent weeks to call the game show out for a variety of reasons, including the “most obvious” clue during Final Jeopardy, a misleading clue that cost a contestant a game, and a “Misheard Lyrics” category that fans hoped would never come back again (with praise few and far between).

And the Jan. 4 game outraged fans even more when all the contestants were unable to identify a clue about the late great rapper Mac Miller (real name Malcolm James McCormick).

Kelly Shannon-Henderson and Max Davison found themselves battling it out when a clue in the “New Jazz” category stopped them in their tracks.

It read: “Jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold can be heard on ‘Stay’ by this late rapper seen here.”

The clue didn’t end there as the game show even added a photo of the rapper —who famously dated pop star Ariana Grande for two years before his untimely death at the age of 26 following an accidental overdose—though that still didn't help anyone piece it together.

Naturally, fans of the game show—and Miller—had a lot to say on social media.

“WHO DOESNT KNOW MAC MILLER AND ONE OF HIS BEST SONGS,” one fan exclaimed using all caps to emphasize their shock.

Others couldn’t believe that no one guessed correctly despite being provided a photo, as another called it “the easiest answer” and a third added, “They didn't know Mac Miller. Sigh.”

“I never liked his music but if you see him you know him lol,” someone else wrote, while yet another noted, “i’m deeply offended NONE of them even tried.”

One fan took a different approach, however, stating, “Mac Miller was an answer on @Jeopardy tonight. I bet he would be all about it.”

This isn’t the first time a category about a popular artist has earned the ire of the internet, as fans slammed the game show on multiple occasions when contestants didn’t know the answer to a Taylor Swift category, despite the pop star being named TIME’s Person of the Year.
