Jennifer Lopez Is ‘Still Deciding’ on Her Met Gala Look: ‘I Like Options!’

Jennifer Lopez has some major decisions to make before Met Gala Monday!

In a new video shared to Vogue’s Instagram account on Wednesday, April 17, the This Is Me... Now star, 54, dishes on getting ready for “the biggest night in fashion.”

“When Anna [Wintour] calls you, and asks you to co-host the Met Gala along with her it’s kinda the biggest night in fashion and to raise money for the museum, it was a real honor,” Lopez said of the magazine’s longtime editor-in-chief.

“It’s a nice thing to be apart of.”

In the clip, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer paces back and forth in front of several mannequins while discussing her excitement for the upcoming event.

“I have a few different sketches. I’m still deciding,” the actress said with a smile. “I’m also one of those people who chooses at the last minute. Like, I like choices, and then I go, ‘Okay, this is how I feel today,’ and then we try to kinda create some type of amazing look — ‘cause that is the night for looks!”

The clip’s caption notes that “the first Monday in May is less than three weeks away!”

In February, J. Lo was announced as one of four co-chairs for the annual event, which always falls on the first Monday of May.

Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth will join the “Jenny from the Block” hitmaker as Hollywood’s elite gather on the iconic steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year’s theme has been announced as “The Garden of Time," paying homage to the theme for Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."

Honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director @Jonathan.Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, a social media post shared by Vogue said at the time.

Lopez has long been a Met Gala attendee, with well over a dozen appearances.

Last year, the entertainer arrived in a velvet halter gown that showed off her perfectly toned abs.

The Ralph Lauren design featured a pink silk satin skirt. The dress, including its floral collar, was made entirely by hand.

She accessorized with black silk evening gloves. Resting on top was a Lorraine Schwartz pink ring with over 10 carats of natural pink diamonds. Lopez also wore a leather beret trimmed with fishnet material.

"I wasn't sure about the hat, but now I'm kinda feeling it," she told La La Anthony on the red carpet for a Vogue interview.

Another one of the Maid in Manhattan movie star’s memorable looks was in 2019 when she attended her 11th Met Gala.

Lopez posed on the carpet wearing a silver fringe beaded Versace dress with an eye-catching sky-high slit and plunging neckline. She teamed the look with a matching fringe headpiece.

Harry Winston jewels took her bedazzled look to new heights with a purple sapphire-and-diamond necklace, weighing in at 129.48 carats and set in platinum.
